We deliver and architect custom designed network infrastructure solutions using a vast suite of optical transport technologies including Ethernet, SONET and Wavelength Services. In telecommunications, fiber-optic wavelength-division multiplexing also known as WDM, is a technology which multiplexes multiple optical carrier signals on a single optical fiber strand by using different wavelengths or colours of laser light to transport different optical carrier signals. Our network hardware vendors provide Carrier Ethernet equipment and the use of Carrier Ethernet technology within a metropolitan area is ever increasing. IP and colocation services are available in the United States, EU as well as Internationally. DSL is not generally recomended for use with Internet server applications. T3 lines are more complex than T1 lines, technically speaking they equal 28 T1 lines side by side one another that takes extra network equipment and software to work effectively. A local installer will make certain that your location is not obstructed by trees or other objects prior to performing the actual installation. We do not recommend broadband via satellite for these vpn and server applications. A T-1 line actually consists of 24 individual channels, each of these channels supports 64 Kbits per second. Each 64Kbit per second channel can be configured to carry data or voice transmissions. A T1 connection is sometimes referred to as a "dedicated service" as the service is delivered to and from the customer premise from the CO (Central Office) without combining it with other traffic. A Dedicated T1 is a full-duplex circuit that transmits 1.544 Mbps and receives 1.544 Mbps concurrently. When a T1 Line is used for Internet service, the other end of the circuit will be routed to the telecommunications service provider of your choice and the Internet service will be activated. Commercial T1 service offers the most reliable, guaranteed upload and download speeds and best professional 24/7 Network Operations Center support available anywhere. A T1 Line is almost always the best choice for VoIP, web hosting, mail server hosting and Virtual Private Networks. The full set of 24 DS0's or channels have the same speed as a full T1 Line, however, the individual DS0 channels may be split into voice lines or data lines using an equipment device called a CSU/DSU or Channel Service Unit/Data Service Unit. AWG is the acronym or short for American Wire Gauge. Low cost Bonded T1 Price Quotes Compared in Real-Time and we negotiate special pricing for you with several ISP's. Written by: Patrick Oborn - Jul 4, 2009 The first non-AOL internet provider I ever had was Earthlink. Their stock rose with the rest of the brand new ISPs of the late 1900's. The sky was truly the limit. However, as the internet bubble burst in 2000, many companies who provided internet access with equipment purchased with investor dollars were left holding the back with huge networks and no one to fill them. Earthlink DSL was different - they saw the need to diversify into high-speed internet access and other customer-friendly value-adds, like Spam Blocker and Adult Controls. Fast-forward to 2004, where we see Earthlink becoming the leader in DSL - and - Satellite internet access. The demand for high-speed access has never been greater - and by virtue of their careful planning and listening the collective voice of their customers, Earthlink has vaulted itself into the lead in the race for number one residential high-speed access provider. In particular, EarthLink made significant inroads in the broadband arena by signing an expanded Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) agreement with Verizon, launching DSL service in Qwest's territories, and teaming up with Progress Energy to conduct a limited Broadband over Power Line (BPL) trial in North Carolina. EarthLink was also encouraged by the March 31, 2004 decision by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit not to revisit its earlier ruling that cable modem service contains a telecommunications service. If upheld, this decision will help open cable broadband networks to competition, thus enabling EarthLink to offer high speed service over additional cable networks. |
